Union Agriculture Department Announced: This is very important news for common people. For the second year in a row, the condition of pulses is going to worsen.
Due to the sowing in agriculture, there is a deficit in the sowing of all types of pulses in the country. For the second year in a row, the condition of pulses has worsened. Even after the end of the traditional sowing season (June 15 to July 15), there is a shortfall of 9 percent in the sowing of all types of pulses across the country.
Annual production of pulses of all types in India is around 120 to 122 lakh tonnes. Compared to that, the demand is 126 to 128 lakh tonnes.
Apart from Udid and Moong, the rest of the pulse crops are grown only in Kharipat and these pulses reach the markets during November after Diwali. 42 to 44 lakh tonnes of tur pulses comprise the total demand of pulses.
This year, the sowing season was delayed due to the delay in monsoon. Therefore, due to the possibility of shortage in pulse crops, the pocket of the common people will be hit this year.
The reason why dal is expensive is the change in monsoon.
